Influence of Early Inputs on Yield and Quality of Citrus, Pistachio and Walnuts

March 19, 2019

On Tuesday, March 19th we hosted a lunch and a discussion at the Free Country Barn.  Julie led off with an introduction of Soil Basics, and some reminders that although plants are genetically programmed to be different, proper nutrition is needed for them to reach their genetic potential.  The goal is to achieve a balance between providing energy and providing the proper essential nutrients.

Jim spoke about the effectiveness of micronutrient sprays to provide energy and nutrition pre-bloom. Essential nutrients at this time are boron, calcium and zinc. Some detail was given on our product lines that would be beneficial to use during this time of year.
